How the General Alert System Works
General Alert base units are installed directly where you need to monitor and log activity. Their rugged design is based on many years of deploying mechanical and electrical systems in some very harsh commercial, industrial and agricultural environments.
A base unit hosts multiple measuring/sensing devices (pods), each one monitoring one parameter, such as environmental temperature, water flow rate or an active power supply. Through the use of long cables or RF connections the reach of a base unit can be extended to cover large buildings.
Any measured value that is outside its acceptable range can be configured to provide an immediate alert via SMS or email.
Logged data can be uploaded on a daily basis to the General Alert server, where it can be retrieved, viewed and charted.
